In recognition of excellence in the recording arts and sciences, members of the United States National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) bestow the Grammy Awards each year. The Academy Awards – OSCARS (for movies), the Emmy Awards (for
television), and the Tony Awards (for stage performance) are all examples of other prestigious annual awards in the American entertainment industry.

However, the Grammy began when The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), often known as the Recording Academy, handed out 28 honours during the 1959 Grammy Awards, which were originally known as the Gramophone Awards, in Los Angeles.

1. Sir Georg Solti

Sir Georg Solti was an instrumental and operatic guide. He is the most Grammy Grant-winning person ever with a sum of 31 Grammys.  Georg Solti who was a Hungarian-British conductor served as music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for twenty-two years (1969–1991).

George also holds the record for the most Grammy Awards won in a single lifetime after winning the award 31 times out of 74 nominations. also,  Solti won the first Grammy Trustees Award in 1967, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. that is why George is in the top 10 Grammy Award winners.

2. Quincy Delight Jones Jr.

Jones Jr is an American record producer, musician, songwriter, composer, arranger, and producer of film and television. Quincy was born on March 14, 1933, and in his 70 years in the entertainment industry.  Jones received 28 Grammy Awards, 80 Grammy Award nominations, and a Grammy Legend Award in 1992 despite he began his career in 1951.  he is a legend in the musician and surely earn his place among the Top 10 Grammy Award winners.

3. Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter:

According to NPR, Beyoncé is the most influential female musician of the 21st century because of her boundary-pushing artistry and vocals. Beyoncé is the most honoured singer, male or female, by the Grammys, having won 28 Grammy Awards as a solo artist and as a member of Destiny’s Child and The Carters.

Also, She is the most nominated artist in Grammy Award history, receiving a total of 88 nominations. Her tremendous prestige indeed has made her stand among the Top 10 Grammy Award winners.

4. Alison Maria Krauss

Alison Maria Krauss is a bluegrass-country singer and musician from the United States. She was born on July 23, 1971. She started out in the music business at a young age, competing in local contests when she was 8 and making her first recording when she
was 14.

Alison’s first solo album was released in 1987, after being signed by Rounder Records in 1985. She was the most-awarded singer and the most-awarded female artist in Grammy history until Beyoncé won her 28th Grammy in 2021.

Also, she won her first Grammy in 1991 becoming the second-youngest winner at the time. As of 2019, she had won 27 Grammy Awards out of 42 nominations, placing her fourth behind Beyoncé, Quincy Jones, and classical conductor Georg Solti for the most overall wins.

5. Armando Anthony

Armando Anthony “Chick” Corea was an American jazz composer, pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, and occasional percussionist.  He was born on June 12, 1941, and passed away on February 9, 2021. Although Anthony was first a member of Miles Davis’s band in late 1960.

However, In 1999, the album Now He Sings, Now He Sobs, which Corea released in 1968, brought him more fame to the extent that the songs were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2010, he was named Doctor Honoris Causa at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Corea won 27 Grammy Awards and was nominated for 71 awards. A stat that earns him to be among the Top 10 Grammy Award winners.

6. Boulez, Pierre Louis Joseph:

Boulez, Pierre Louis Joseph is a French composer, conductor, and writer (born March 26, 1925; died January 5, 2016). the French composer won 26 Grammy awards and founded numerous musical institutions. Joseph was also a major figure in Western classical music after the war.

7. Vladimir Samoylovich Horowitz

Samoylovich is an American classical pianist and composer who was born in 1903 in Russia and died on November 5, 1989.

Vladimir Talent won him Grammy Awards in several categories like Grammy Award for Best Classical Performance – Instrumental Soloist or Soloists (with or without orchestra), Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Soloist(s) Performance (with orchestra) Grammy Award for Best Classical Album, and in total had a sum of 26 Grammy Awards making him the 7th most awarded.

8. Stevland Hardaway Morris

Hardaway, Stevland Stevie Wonder or Judkins are other names for Morris. Steve is a well-known singer-songwriter from the United States who has influenced many performers in a range of musical genres. Music Styles which include jazz, pop, gospel, funk, rhythm and blues, and soul.

Nevertheless, Steve Wonder is one of only two artists and groups to have won the Grammy for Album of the Year three times as the main credited artist. He has won 25 Grammy Awards and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. Wonder is the only artist to have three consecutive albums win the award. This profile earns him a place among the Top 10 Grammy Award winners.

9. John Towner Williams

KBE is an American pianist, conductor, and composer who was born on February 8, 1932. John has composed some of the most well-known, recognizable, and critically acclaimed film scores in cinematic history over the course of his seven-decade career.

John’s creditable creativity earned him 25 Grammy Awards, 7 British Academy Film Awards, 5 Academy Awards, and 4 Golden Globe Awards.

10. On the 10th spot of the most Grammy-awarded celebrities we have 3 people taking the spot. With a total of 24 Grammy Awards, we have Jay Z, and Kanye West taking up the 10th position. both are American rappers and producers and are considered as part of the greatest musicians of this generation.
