Nine.9 million people watch Britain’s Got Talent each series on average and everyone is gunning for a golden buzzer!. At the time of its broadcast, the third series live finale of the show garnered an unprecedented 17.3 million viewers with few Exceptional black performances at the BGT. A television talent show competition, Britain’s Got Talent (abbreviated BGT) is a component of Simon Cowell’s global Got Talent series. It is produced by Thames (previously Talkback Thames) and Syco Entertainment, distributed by Fremantle, and televised on ITV every year (except in 2021) in the late spring to early summer. It is presented by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, also known as Ant & Dec.
Since 2007, Britain’s Got Talent has received multiple nominations for the National Television Awards in the “Most Popular Talent Show” category; however, it has not triumphed against its sister programs, The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing. As of September 2023, Ant and Dec had won the ‘Most Popular Entertainment Presenters’ title at the same awards ceremony 22 times in a row.
In 2008, Britain’s Got Talent was also shortlisted for two British Academy Television Awards but was not successful in taking home any prizes. The program was a finalist for the 2007 and 2008 TV Quick and Choice Awards’ “Best Talent Show” category, but it was defeated by The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, respectively. 1. Musa Motha the amputee dancer.
28-year-old amputee dancer Musa Motha, a remarkable international award winner, is a cancer survivor who just competed in the Britain’s Got Talent Grand Final.
He also took home the National Dance Awards’ Emerging Artist Award in 2023.
born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of eleven, he received a diagnosis of Oesteosacorma, a type of bone cancer. Prior to needing to have his leg amputated, his main goal in life was to play professional football.
In 2019, Musa Motha embarked on an international tour. After a brilliant 2023 audition on Britain’s Got Talent, he received a ton of praise and became the first group to receive a standing ovation and a Golden Buzzer in the history of the show. Before competing in the Grand Final in June 2023, he prevailed in his semi-final.
In addition, Musa provides motivational speaking, video editing, photography, runway modeling, and DJing.
2. Malakai Bayoh with the angelic voice
Malakai Bayoh is a 13-year-old London-born celebrity. He became well-known when his O Holy Night singing video went viral. He became much more well-known after winning a golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent. The parents of Malakai Bayoh are natives of Sierra Leone. Long before he was born, they moved to the United Kingdom in search of better pastures.
Regretfully, Malakai has withheld information about his parents, including their names, occupations, and present locations. His outstanding performances on Britain’s Got Talent have made him well-known. As Malakai put it: He claimed that he started singing at the age of seven after his mother encouraged him to join the choir, prior to appearing on the talent hunt show.
3. Sheku Kanneh-Mason
Born on April 4, 1999, Sheku Kanneh-Mason MBE is a British cellist who was the recipient of the 2016 BBC Young Musician award. After the competition’s inception in 1978, he became the first Black musician to win.(Source: ) Playing for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19, 2018, he was directed by Christopher Warren-Green. In 2021, Kanneh-Mason is playing a 1700-built cello made by Matteo Goffriller.
He and his siblings competed as The Kanneh-Masons on Britain’s Got Talent in 2015. He appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and later told The Observer that it had been “a good experience for getting used to performing in front of lots of people.” In May 2016, he won the BBC’s Young Musician of the Year category.
4. Daliso Chaponda
Born in Zambia on November 29, 1979, Daliso Chaponda is a stand-up comedian from Malawi who currently resides in England. He advanced to the finals of the variety show Britain’s Got Talent in 2017, coming in third place overall. Daliso Chaponda: Citizen of Nowhere, a BBC Radio 4 series, was introduced by him in 2018. Chaponda made an audition for the 2017 season of Britain’s Got Talent. The “golden buzzer” awarded by Judge Amanda Holden enabled him to move on to the semi-finals. In the end, Chaponda finished third in the tournament.
Following his performance on Britain’s Got Talent, Chaponda struck a deal with BBC Radio 4 to develop a new show titled Daliso Chaponda: Citizen of Nowhere. The show will premiere in 2018 and consist of twelve half-hour episodes by 2021, with a 2022 rebroadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra.
